How Do Kids Blow Off Steam – What’s Their Strategy?

How do kids blow off steam?

There are going to be times when other people or things annoy us. Kids don’t naturally know how to respond in a way that doesn’t end up hurting them. To learn new ways to respond kids need to talk about the things that work for them, the things that don’t and also brainstorm new things they can try next time.

It may be a strategy to use

  • when a child bugs them.
  •  when a child teases them.
  • when someone asks them to do something they don’t want to do.
  • when someone accuses them of something they haven’t done.

Use this weeks NOVEL activity to help you talk with a child about ways to blow off steam, listen to what is working for them and help them find some new things to try.

If you are receiving emails from Colour My Story, your Blowing Off Steam activity is waiting for you on email.
